Short Biography
Born in March 1983, in Biloxi, Mississippi to Bob and “Miss Mike” Tucker. I was born on Keesler Air Force Base. My dad was a Tsgt in Public Affairs. Stationed at Keesler in Biloxi until roughly 1988. My dad then got orders to Williams Air Force Base in Mesa, Az. So we moved to East Mesa until I was 9. My dad then got orders to Whiteman AFB in Knob Noster, Missouri. Then after a short 2 years or so, we moved back to Biloxi.
Living in Mesa
I dont really remember a whole lot about living here before. We lived in a 3 bedroom house several miles off base. I remember playing in the backyard and in the street. GI joes mostly. We had a late eighties macintosh that I played some video games on. Missle Command is the only game I can remember. Other than that the only other memory worth mentioning is tubing the Salt River with my family on a record temperature day, 122 degrees.
Living In the Knob Noster(middle of no where), Missouri
Again cant remember much from living in Missouri, but I do remember that was the first time I lived somewhere it snowed. That’s the first place I ever saw Liquid Television, Beavis and Butt Head, Seinfield, etc. The first place I ever owned a dog. The first place I heard 90′s alternative music. The first basement to play in.
My brother and I used to ride our bikes down to the pool on base. The first time I ever had a Choco Taco. Those things are awesome. If you have never had one, imagine a fudge sunday cone in the shape of a taco. Anyway, we spent all summer in the pool or riding bikes around the base. There were several small wooded areas that we used to cut through while walking around. First time I ever saw a tick. It was lodged into my chest.
We were fortunate to be there when the first B-2 stealth bomber arrived on base. It was the weirdest thing. You heard it, until you saw you then it was completely quiet. Then after it was gone, sonic boom! It set off car alarms, house alarms, and even the railroad crossing gate went down.
My dad spent his summers in Missouri with his cousins. So we were able to meet them. Also my dad decided to video tape a trip to the houses where his family used to live and also a cemetery where several relatives were buried. He hit the record button several times by accident, so about 45 minutes altogether of walking towards and away from houses and head stones, and the inside of the car door due to it being in his lap.
Living back in Biloxi
The earliest thing I remember is shortly after we moved back home Kurt Cobain had died. It impacted my brother pretty bad.
Made friends with kids down the street. Joined the boyscouts. 2 years later me and my best friend at the time, got kicked out. A combination of pissing off anyone in charge. Got kicked out of public school. Started going to a private christian high school in the back of a church. Had my first love, kiss, etc. roughly about that same time. Played snare drum in the school band. Got my first job. Got my license. Got my first car(a wrecked 1987 Toyota Cressida). After several years of teenage rebelion and angst. First cigarette. First beer. I joined the air force myself.
Air Force
Left for basic training in April. Basic is 6 weeks long. Si that landing me right in the middle of a Texas summer. After San Antonio, I was stationed in Witchita Falls, Tx for F16 crew chief training. The second time in my life I got to see a town that would barely exist if it wasn’t for the military base. After 16 months in Texas, I spent 6 weeks in Phoenix, at Luke AFB doing hands on training. Great choice for 2 reasons. A: 2nd Hottest base with F 16s. B: Also the training base for pilots. So double the probability of a mistake.
After training finished, I got stationed in Fairbanks, Ak. The first year was great. Saw huge mountains, the salmon run, the pipeline, and snow. Snow got boring quick. Bought an ATV. Wrecked it. Fell in love with the wrong girl.
Left Ak in Jan 2005. It was -65 the day I left. +65 in Mississippi I when landed.
Back in Biloxi, Again.
The first job I got when I moved back was at a gas station. After a couple months there, selling cigarettes to minors and selling beer to toddlers, got a job driving a shuttle bus from Biloxi to New Orleans. Couple months later….
My Katrina Story
Living in Mesa, Again.
When I arrived in Phoenix after Katrina, I lived in the evacuee shelter set up at the fairgrounds. The state of Arizona was amazing for the evacuees. Food, clothes, and every outlet needed to get back on our feet. Met most of the Cardinals, Janet Napolitano, and Gonzo. After a week or so, moved into an apartment complex in Mesa. Across from my mom. Got a job telemarketing. After a couple months there got fired. Got a job waiting tables in Scottsdale. Got promoted to bartender. After a couple years there got fired. Got a job installing satelite dishes. After a year or so there got fired. Started the website in March of 09. Started driving a cab in October. So as of now you are caught up…
